If you have successfully completed a full 12-year school curriculum, you are eligible to apply for a bachelor's program in Italy without any impediments. Similarly, if you have completed 9 years of compulsory education and subsequently finished at least 3 full years of college or lyceum, you meet the criteria for admission.
However, if you have only completed 11 grades of education, you are not immediately eligible for a bachelor's degree program in Italy. In this case, you have two viable options. First, you can opt for a Foundation year, which serves as a preparatory year to bridge the educational gap. Alternatively, you can pursue a bachelor's degree in your home country and subsequently seek entry into an Italian university.
Certainly! The key requirement is that you have completed your previous education before commencing your studies in Italy. If you haven't received your diploma with grades at the time of application, you can substitute it with your academic transcript of records.
We specialize in assisting individuals with major transitions. While having a clear understanding of your intended field of study is crucial, we're confident that, through our collaboration, we can guide you in successfully transitioning to a new and captivating academic specialization.
Absolutely, you should consider studying in Italy, even if your GPA isn't exceptionally high. Italian universities take a holistic approach to evaluation, considering your application as a whole, not just your GPA. Your entire set of documents, including recommendation letters, personal statements, and standardized test scores, is taken into account, which means you have multiple opportunities to showcase your strengths. By considering all these factors, you can pursue your dream of studying in Italy, even if your GPA is not exceptionally high. The opportunities and financial aid available can make your academic journey in Italy not only possible but also financially sustainable.
Certainly, we have the expertise to facilitate your admission to any university in Italy, offering a wide array of specialty options. Italy offers different institutions, mainly divided into Universities or AFAM institutions (Academies of Music, Art, and Dance). The University system is divided into Bachelor's degree (3 years course), Master's degree (2 years course), Single Cycle Degree (5-6 years course), and PhD and Specialization Programmes. In Italy, students may also find University Master or Academic Master, which last for less than 2 years (usually one year). It is essential to know that these kinds of Masters are not equivalent to Master's Degrees.
Italian and European citizens can work full time, while non-European citizens can sign contracts that allow them to work for a maximum of 20 hours per week until their residence permit expires. Knowledge of the Italian language is generally required to get a job. However, speaking other languages is usually positively evaluated when reviewing your CV.
You can! In Italy, higher education institutions offer more than 500 programs entirely taught in English. However, we recommend that students have at least a B2 level of English proficiency. This requirement can often be fulfilled through various means, and there are some exemptions.
If you have studied in high school or university entirely in English, this can serve as a certificate of your English proficiency and may substitute for the need for an IELTS or TOEFL score. Italy acknowledges the value of your prior education in an English-speaking environment and may grant exemptions accordingly.
The Italian government's regional scholarship program is open to all international students with no restrictions on citizenship or age. It's designed to assist those whose family income is below €24,000 annually. This program covers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral students and offers financial aid, which can vary based on family income and academic performance but typically includes an annual payment of €7,000, exemption from university fees, and a meal allowance. Initially, it's a one-year scholarship, but it can be extended if you maintain good academic progress.
